This is a good presentation, stuffed with statistical data and other tools (e.g. The fish diagram) that gives a quick overview of the involvement, the past and the present with respect to health care for TB and HIV patients. Amazingly, the factors considered are not limited to TB or HIV only but generally applies to health care in Nigeria as a whole. Today, the impact of NGOs (fhi, usaid, EU- prime, PPRINN, WHO, Unicef) in the healthcare sector in Nigeria cannot be over-emphasized. Suffice it to say that a robust health scheme made up of both the government and the NGOs (partnership) would make more impact as the NGOs have already gone very far; the government's (Nigerian) role would be making of policies and putting structures in place to ensure compliance. A very similar example of this is NHS in the United Kingdom.
